Ladle Hooks and Ladle Beams
Ladle beams equipped with ladle hooks or J hooks are most commonly used to safely handle and transport molten metal. They can also be used to handle and transport rolls of material such as paper rolls. Ladle hooks and ladle beams are extremely heavy duty and are designed to withstand the severe and extreme environments in which they are found. Ladle hooks are available in a variety of sizes and capacities, up to over 80 Tons.
At Tri-State Rigging Equipment we specialize in providing custom designed ladle beams and ladle hooks. We can also provide you with any standard “off the shelf” ladle beam on the market. If you can’t find what you are looking for or if you don’t know exactly what you need, call or email our sales team to speak with a below the hook product specialist.
Ladle Beam and Ladle Hook Design
A ladle beam consists of a plate style lifting beam and two integrated ladle or J hooks. The ladle hooks are laminated, riveted and welded to eliminate the possibility of crack propagation, thereby increasing the durability and average service life of the ladle beam and ladle hooks. Ladle hooks can be equipped with a large variety of optional features to help satisfy any lifting or rigging application. Some of these options include:
- Removable Wear Strips
- Metal Liners
- Radial Keys
- Keeper Plates
- Hardened Steel Eye Bushings
- Welded Bumper Stops
- Forged Steel or Fabricated Chase Blocks
- Bronze Palm Bushings
- Power Rotating Designs
- Pivoting Hooks
- Sister Style Hooks
Our engineers will work with you to design a ladle hook or ladle beam from scratch to fit your specific application using one or a combination of the features listed above.
