Container Lifting Lugs and Assemblies
Container lifting lugs, sometimes called shipping container lifting hooks, combined with a lifting beam and some rigging hardware are the perfect way to lift and handle shipping containers. Container Lifting lugs are specially designed to fit into the four corners of a shipping container, adding lifting points and allowing the container to be easily rigged and lifted. Camlok, a subsidiary of Columbus McKinnon, is an industry leader in shipping container lifting equipment. Camlok offers two types of container lifting lugs, the CLT and CLB. CLT container lifting lugs attach to the corners of shipping containers from the top, while CLB container lifting lugs attach to the corners of shipping containers from the side. Both CLT and CLB container lifting lugs are sold in sets of 4 and have a total lifting capacity of up to 61 tons. The CLT lifting lug is locked in place by turning the lug 90° and the CLB lifting lug has a spring-loaded bolt to prevent accidental release. Container lifting lugs are known for their unique design and for their ease and flexibility of use.
